Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson was born July 7th, 1968. She is an American actress best known for her role in Blue Bloods as Linda Reagan, Alex Taylor as well as Josie Watts on the NBC soap the show Another World.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois in DuPage County Illinois], near Chicago. She was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers in the school. She is of Swedish descent with roots from Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: Early career as well as college



 Her first exposure to Hollywood through her performance as a background actress in the movie Lucas featuring Charlie Sheen (Corey Haim) and Winona Ryder. Then she joined her older sister Betsy to Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
